- The Smokey Snuff driver is one of eight drivers to make the inaugural Chase in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The GMS Racing driver is currently sixth in the standings. Saturday’s race is the third and final race in Round 1 of the unique format and the top-six drivers will transfer to Round 2 of the Chase which kicks off at Martinsville Speedway later this month.
- Sauter has made three starts for the smokeless tobacco brand in 2016 and his success behind the wheel of the No. 21 Chevrolet Silverado includes a win at Daytona International Speedway (February), a pole at Texas Motor Speedway (June), and two top-five finishes.
- Sauter swept both superspeedway races in 2013 winning at both Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway.
